Silica Wanguba Osore

My name is Silica Wanguba . I was born on 31st December 2005 and I am thirteen years old. We are a family of five children two girls and three boys. I am number three in my family.

When I was a young child I passed through many challenges but through God’s grace I survive. When I was 5 years old I swallowed five shillings coins. I went to my parents and they did not know what to do, expect to take me to our pastor. Our pastor rushed me to the hospital where they were able to retrieve the coins and save my life. My pastor not only took care of me then, but also paid all the hospital fees. Because of this I know God is with me.

At many times, my parents were without work, so we depended on the charity of neighbors to eat. I used to work for people to supply my need. My parents concentrated on the schooling of my elder siblings. So, at grade five I did not have a uniform to go to school, I humbled myself and accepted to remain at home so that I can help my parents with their work. I missed many days of school. Later, I was forced to borrow money from a friend to be able to pay the fees to get back in school.

While in primary school I worked hard to make sure I did well in all my subjects. I found out that I loved poetry and I like to create poetry.

In the future I would like to become a doctor so I can save people’s lives, the same way my life was saved once by emergency surgery . I admire doctors.

I like participating in praise and worship services and also track and field teams. I look forward to your consideration of sponsoring me. I promise to be a hardworking, disciplined, and obedient student.
